- The UNHCR estimates that there are now over 7 million refugees across Europe and over 6 million displaced within Ukraine without access to their basic needs.
- Over 100, 000 refugees from Ukraine have arrived in the UK, 3000 of whom are already in Somerset. We can make a difference by funding the delivery of essential community based support.
How can we help?
We are working with charities, community groups and organisations across Somerset and we are listening to them about the challenges they face in responding to this humanitarian crisis.
A great deal has already been achieved thanks to the flexibility and ingenuity of these organisations but there is so much more to be done.
By supporting those organisations already working in Somerset through providing grant funding delivered through a panel of knowledgeable experts we will be able to help even more refugees.
By working collectively across Somerset we can build something that is even greater than the sum of its parts.
