WELLS WELCOME HUB

Wells was the first Hubs SSU visited. Emma and Claire gave us a warm welcome and told us all about the main problems faced by Ukrainian refugees in Wells.
Every week the issues encountered at Wells Welcome Hub are different, and the week we visited they ranged from problems with issuing biometric residence permits to helping a family finding a new sponsor.
They explained that an ongoing challenge is transport to and from Wells for people living further afield. This is an issue for many Ukrainians in Somerset and we are currently considering different ways to solve the transport problem.
